Considering the number of Summits, Expos, and conferences I've been to, I have to say this was the best. Most events are extremely packed, speakers pop up on stage, give their two cents, and then disappear. I find it difficult to make connections due to the sheer volume of people, noise level and lack of a format that allows for it. This experience was so different, the entire time was spent making connections with vendors and peers.
There was no pressure from vendors, they seemed more interested in getting to know me rather that what they could sell me. It was incredibly refreshing. Extremely well organized throughout but not overly so, it was....fun!! I felt like I was valued, like my opinions mattered, again it was the best experience I've had at this type of event in the last 15 years.
The small size and limited number of participants for the event with the planned roundtable discussions lent itself well for providing engagement for everyone in attendance.

Attending events or conferences can be burdensome for the transit director and our staff. The content has to be relevant and worth my time. The Summit was full of information and well worth my time away. It was not drawn out or too lengthy!
I enjoyed the one on one time with the suppliers as well as other transit professional to be able to discuss issues we all face and share incite as to possible solutions not just everyone having the same struggles.
